overview
The V&A Museum can be used as a case study to examine a major London museum's efforts toward diversity and inclusion of black female artists. It is an especially pertinent example because, although it houses extensive collections dating before the 20th century, the V&A Museum is also at the forefront of contemporary design. Due to its unique ability to design exhibits that feature new artists, coupled with its evident desire to increase diversity, the V&A Museum has made important strides in featuring women of colour who are breaking barriers and conveying activism through design.
